When You Can’t Rush the Season
Share
It seems like winter just keeps trying to hang on here in Wisconsin.
We've had warm, sunshiny days…followed by cold, snowy dumps…sometimes all in the same week! I don't know about you, but it makes me totally relate to Olaf—I just love the idea of sun…and summer…and warmth…and flowers.
So lately, I've found myself out searching for signs of spring every chance I get.
The trees starting to bud…
grass attempting to peek out from under the snow (or the mud from the thaw)…
even that first hint of earthy smell in the air.
It's not quite here yet—but you can feel it coming.
And if I'm honest, I'm already dreaming about gardening…(in a few months, of course 😉).
Since those days aren't fully here yet, I've been bringing a little spring into the studio instead—painting bright meadows and small pieces of quiet encouragement.

Little reminders like:
- choose to see the good stuff
- great things take time
- embrace beautiful chaos
- today is full of possibilities
Sometimes, when the season won't cooperate…you create the season you're craving.
And this week—Holy Week—feels a lot like that too.
(I promise, I won't get too preachy.)
It's a time of quiet reflection…of letting go…of forgiveness.
And ultimately, it leads to something really beautiful:
- Hope
- Joy
- Renewal
So whether you're watching the snow melt (again)…or holding onto the promise of warmer days…
I hope you take a moment this week to pause, reflect, and make space for what's ahead.
Because renewal is coming.
